“The study offers a coherent and methodologically mature analysis of the processes of inclusion and integration of Ukrainian students within the Polish higher education system, situated within a case study of the University of Rzeszów. The authors clearly articulate the aim of the publication: to capture the multidimensional nature of integration mechanisms, to identify both facilitating factors and existing barriers, and to present not only institutional responses but also the lived experiences of the students themselves.

Particularly noteworthy is the multi-layered structure of the argument. The narrative is developed in a logically consistent manner, moving from the macro level (the broader context of educational migration and institutional–policy frameworks), through the meso level (institutional solutions and practices implemented at the university), to the micro level (the perspectives and experiences of students from Ukraine, considered in relation to the role of Polish students and the wider academic community). This analytical architecture accurately reflects the complexity of the phenomenon under investigation: integration within higher education unfolds simultaneously across organizational, pedagogical, social, and psychological dimensions, all of which the monograph successfully systematizes and interconnects”.

Prof. Paweł Walawender

“The monograph represents a methodologically robust and thoroughly documented study of the inclusion of Ukrainian students within the Polish higher education system. The authors address a highly topical and socially significant issue, situating their analysis both within the context of dynamic migration processes following 2014 and 2022, and within broader theoretical frameworks related to inclusion, intercultural adaptation, and the role of the university as a socially responsible institution.

The work is distinguished by its methodological coherence and a clearly conceptualized structure, which enables a systematic progression from a macro-level, systemic perspective to an in-depth exploration of individual student experiences”.
